FAQ

Where are your service locations?

Golden State Pool Fence serves all cities within the greater Sacramento area. We are a licensed pool fencing company working with trained professionals with years of experience installing durable pool fences for the people of Sacramento.

How long does it take to install the fence?

The installation time depends on the size and type of the pool installed. Our technicians will come to the site and take proper measurements. They will inform you about the cost and the estimated time it will take.

How much does it cost to install a pool fence?

The cost depends on the size and type of material. Our workers will inform you about the cost estimate so you can make an educated decision. The typical price for a fence can range between $1,500-$5,000.

Do I need a 4-foot or 5-foot tall fence?

About 95% of the fences that we install are 4 feet tall. Most 5-foot tall fences are required for daycares, foster care, and new construction permits. We never recommend a 5-foot unless an official is making it mandatory. Additionally, 5-foot fences have a top band/ribbon right in your line of vision so it is much more visible.

Will the fencing process damage my pool deck?

No, a wet core drill is used to make the incision into the concrete which provides a grinding motion as opposed to a hammer motion. One-inch diameter holes will be drilled around the pool decks to mount the support poles. Holes should be placed every 36 inches apart from each other.

Can I install a temporary fence around my pool?

Yes, temporary pool fences are available for commercial and residential pools. They can be easily installed and removed when and if you want it. The latches and gates are simple to control, allowing easy access for adults to and from the pool area.

Can I buy and install a pool fence by myself?

Yes, you can; however, we recommend you do not install the fence on your own. It is difficult to understand the quality of the fence material without having proper installation experience and tools. At Golden State Pool Fence, we are connected with multiple manufacturers making sure you get the best material at a reasonable price along with the experience to it correctly.

What happens if I don’t install a pool fence?

A pool fence will always be optional. The city requires all homes with pools in California to have a perimeter fence and a self-closing gate that swings away from the pool. If you do not have a perimeter fence, you will need to install a fence to be compliant with your city’s rules and regulations.

Does your fence come with caps to use?

Yes, they’re included with every purchase.
